Candy_Butterring

by J. Meyer

I feel like I ought to know who drew this, but neither the drawing style nor the signature are ringing any bells for me. I’m pretty sure it says J. Meyer, but I’m not even 100% sure about that.

UPDATE: The artist has been found: It’s Joe Meyer. Check the comments below for Joe’s response and links to more of his work.

Butter Rings aren’t too hard to come by. In fact, you can “Enjoy the Fun Shaped Butter Ring with Your Family and Friends!”

WOW. I only FAINTLY remember drawing this, once I read the context of this. I’ve never been to Ohio, so it must be some other con. 2002, it *might* have been something in the New York City, coz otherwise I have no clue of even drawing this! I apologize for not remembering you either!
Since then, I’ve been self publishing my books as witness here
Full color comic parodying the furry fandom: http://indyplanet.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=5501
And some graphic novellas of autobio stuff: http://www.lulu.com/shop/joe-meyer/in-the-meantime/paperback/product-4845377.html

I post in progress pictures of stuff that I’m working on, and future projects on my Twitter.
Thanks for posting this!

No problem, Joe. Glad we were able to track you down! I brought my sketchbook to MOCCA Fest in NYC in 2002, so that’s probably where this drawing happened.
