For the past six(!) years, I’ve been attending figure drawing events with the Detroit chapter of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School (official site). I love having this regular opportunity to get together with live artists and draw from a live model.
I don’t often post my figure sketches, mainly because I’m lazy, but also because I think of them as notes to myself rather than finished works to be viewed by others. Then again, I know plenty of people who post their sketches, and I enjoy comparing how these various artists go about drawing the same model, so why not join in the fun? I give you some favorites from the current sketchbook:

Those are great!
We have a Dr. Sketchy chapter in Saskatoon. I don’t know how long they’ve been around, I only recently (last fall) became aware of their existence. Going to an event this friday!
